The Bicycle Film Festival celebrates its tenth year and runs from June 16-20, 2010 in New York City. The festival features some amazing bike videos such as Spike Jonze’s The Birth of Big Air, Line of Sight featuring the work of Lucas Brunelle, and the world premiere of NYC-centric Empire.
If you can’t make the film screenings we suggest checking out the Joyride Art Show on Thursday or the Saturday Night After Party at 88 Broadway with Star Eyes from Trouble and Bass.

Play Paintball with Cast Members of The Wire This Saturday
This is ridiculous and amazing. Feel like playing paintball with Omar, Snoop, Marlo and other cast members from The Wire? Starting at $250 per person, you can sign up a team and make that happen in Long Island City this Saturday. This is easily the most amazing charity event we’ve ever heard of.

We saw Steve Powers (ESPO) at PSFK New York a few weeks ago discussing his recent Philadelphia Love Letter project. PSFK just posted video of the talk.

Caribou at Music Hall of Williamsburg 5/7/2010
(by Dave Surgan)
One of my favorite live bands, Caribou has a strong focus on percussion with the right mix of samples and live instrumentation. You never feel like they are playing to a backing track with samples leading the way.
